Cookie Policy

The short version
This site sets one cookie. It remembers what is in your cart, and nothing else. We run no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking.
What a cookie is
A cookie is a small file a website asks your browser to keep, and which the browser hands back on your next visit. It is how a site can remember anything at all between one page and the next.
The cookie we set
CART_MOTHCO — holds the identifier and contents of your shopping cart, so your basket survives a page reload or a visit later in the week. It is set by this site, in your browser only, and expires seven days after it was last written.
This is a strictly necessary cookie: without it there is no cart. Cookies of that kind do not require consent under the ePrivacy Directive, which is why this site shows no cookie banner.
What we do not set
No analytics cookies. No advertising or retargeting pixels. No social media trackers. No third-party scripts of any kind run on these pages.
Third parties
Shopify checkout. When you check out you move to Shopify’s own pages, which set their own cookies under their own policy. That is outside this site, and Shopify’s privacy policy governs it.
Google Fonts. The typefaces are fetched from Google’s servers as the page loads. This sets no cookie, but the request does disclose your IP address and browser details to Google.
Refusing or removing it
Every browser lets you view and delete cookies, and block them for a given site — usually under Settings, Privacy. Blocking the cookie above will not stop you browsing, but your cart will empty each time you leave a page.
